To deliver great service, we need great people. So once we find team members with good skills and the right work ethic, we want them to develop within the business.
St Neots is home to three of F&T Goodwin’s gangs and a number of them have recently achieved recognition for their work, which is primarily on new homes developments. Lee Springett joined the company back in 2010 as a green horn, working as an operative shovelling asphalt. He progressed to driving tractors and rollers, then becoming a screwman, under foreman and eventually foreman. Lee really enjoys the variety of the jobs at F&T Goodwin and values the importance of good teamwork.
Three other employees who have progressed really well in terms of competency cards are Daniel Crooke, Elliot Collins and Luke Dawson. They have all achieved their tickets for operating a roller, airmaster and banksman duties, with Elliot also achieving his paver ticket.
