Sustainability At F&T Goodwin

For over 40 years, we’ve delivered essential infrastructure with care. We invest in cleaner plant, reduce emissions, and find practical ways to lower our impact without compromising performance.

  • Building Responsibly. Working With Purpose.

At F&T Goodwins, innovation isn’t a side project. It’s part of how we work. We regularly review new tools, machinery, technologies and fuels to reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and deliver better outcomes for our clients. Today, 90% of our company vehicles are electric, and the remaining are hybrid, part of our ongoing commitment to smarter, cleaner operations.

From trialling hydrogen supplementation and fuel restructuring to introducing electric pavers, rollers, and vehicles, we explore smarter ways of working that lower cost, cut carbon and protect uptime. We also test long-life lubricant systems to extend service intervals and reduce waste in our workshop.

These aren’t one-off initiatives. We embed innovation across our operations, working with suppliers, customers, and industry bodies to drive progress that’s practical, measurable, and designed to make a real difference on site.

  • Built for Net Zero

We follow a structured Carbon Reduction Plan and have partnered with Go Climate Positive to accelerate progress.

Our targets align with client climate challenge goals and the government’s plan to achieve Net Zero by 2050, focusing on measurable reductions, smarter processes, and operational changes that make a real impact.
