Darren Stokes

Managing Director

Darren has been Managing Director of Tripod Crest Ltd for 6 years and has gained a wealth of operational and contractual experience during his career which began at RM Douglas Asphalt and Paving as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor working on a variety of projects. In 1989, he joined Asfare as Quantity Surveyor which provided solid experience of the surfacing sector including supervision. During his time at Asfare Darren was also responsible for the planing side of the company, before progressing to Operations Manager. When National Road Planing acquired Asfare Darren became Commercial Manager and subsequently Operations Director.

Dave Lawrence

Group Estimating Manager

With responsibilities across all group businesses, Dave is a champion of best practice, innovation and delivering the highest possible standards of service to our customers.

Dave started his career as a management trainee with Tarmac in 1989 and graduated with a BEng degree in quarry and road surface engineering. Having made a career in the industry, he has spent significant periods with Tarmac/Tilcon and, most recently, Amey. Dave worked as a surfacing supervisor in his early career before moving into sales and estimating, and then into management, so he brings significant operational as well as commercial expertise. 

Dave is a highly regarded professional with an excellent reputation. Along with the rest of the commercial team, he is committed to ensuring that the company consistently performs as a trusted and reliable partner.

Cathal O’Boyle

Director

Cathal has worked at Tripod Crest for 23 years and started his career in the industry working with his father as a Foreman at Associated Asphalt before moving to Kimbell Construction where he enjoyed 8 years employment. In 1992, Cathal joined Tripod Crest as a Machine Foreman and continued to progress with the company becoming Surfacing Director in 2009 responsible for both Tripod Crest Ltd and F&T Goodwin.
