Breheny, one of the UK’s leading civil engineering companies, is a major contractor working on the infrastructure for the redevelopment of Addenbrooke’s Hospital near Cambridge.
F&T Goodwin has subsequently been awarded a number of projects for road surfacing by Breheny following successful delivery on a consistent basis. Currently, F&T Goodwin gangs are involved with the Circus & Piazza contract, providing road surfacing, footpaths and paving areas around the main entrance and public spaces for the soon-to-be-opened new Royal Papworth Hospital at the Addenbrooke’s Hospital redeveloped site.
Breheny project manager Andrew Starks has been really pleased with F&T’s service throughout the project – as well as the price, commenting: “Cathal and his team not only give us competitive quotes, they also impress with their pre-contract preparation, the provision of constructive input, co-ordination while on site and health & safety standards. They also finish on time!
“The previous phase of work was not without challenges. Upgrading the main Addenbrooke’s Hospital entrance signalised roundabout demanded a lot of night work with considerable logistical traffic management, and with the partial closure of a thoroughfare that is operational 24/7. F&T Goodwin did a great job for us. Hence the repeat business on this current phase!”
